How Our Network Works
Talk to a local provider
Who you talk to
You talk to an independent concrete provider in your area. The provider runs their own business. They give the quote and do the work. Yearchips Concrete makes the first connection, then steps aside.
What happens on the call
The provider will ask simple things. What do you want to build? How big is the space? Where is the house, and where does water run? They may ask for photos or set up a visit to measure.
Request a callback to check provider availability. Timing varies. Many providers can respond quickly, but we cannot promise a time.
What to ask a provider
A good provider answers plainly. Ask these questions:
- Do you hold the license or permit this job needs?
- Do you carry insurance?
- What base goes under the slab, and how thick is the concrete?
- Where will the joints go? Joints are planned cuts that guide cracks.
- How will water drain away from the house?
- When can I seal it, and how often after that?
- Will you put the price, the work and the timeline in writing?
Concrete costs in the U.S. vary a lot by size, base work, finish and site. Get a written quote before you agree to anything.
You are in control
Asking for an estimate does not lock you in. You can talk to more than one provider. You can say no. You choose who builds your slab. Take your time, and pick the plan that feels right for your home.
